Presenting Sophia, prima ballerina of the Achafalaya Ballet of Louisiana. (The first A is silent.) HEAD & BODY: Cloth soft sculpture over wire armature. EYES: Satin stitch, trapunto applique, and eyelashes. HEIGHT: 18” COSTUME: White silk bodice with beaded motif on front, white tulle tutu. ACCESSORIES: metallic gold crown, black pique neck ribbon. Sophia was inspired by the mental image of frog legs in fifth position! Sophia won Honorable Mention in the Sulky Challenge and toured with their trunk show for a year. |
