Frail as a flower, the doddering old king gently wandered off into happy thoughts.... Kaspar is based on the
whimsical tenor king in Menotti’s
opera, “Amahl and the Night Visitors.” HEAD & HANDS: Super Sculpy, painted. EYES: Painted. BEARD: Rayon. BODY: Soft sculpture over wire armature. HEIGHT: 9” seated. COSTUME: Gold lame shirt, violet silk pantaloons, green striped silk sash with bead tassels, multi-colored brocade coat with glass beaded peach fronts and sleeves. ACCESSORIES: Yellow taffeta turban with beads and gold pendant, black gilt velvet boots, rings.
STOOL: Red turned legs, pale green tapestry seat, gold fringe. |
